Recently, family members, friends and members of the NKY community gathered at The Kenton County Library in Erlanger to celebrate the graduation of 46 young leaders from the Regional Youth Leadership (RYL) program and two of those young leaders were from Notre Dame Academy. Both Heidi Abeln and Emmalyn Martin were part of the RYL class of 2023 which is the 29th class to graduate from the program which started in 1994.
Graduates of this year’s class include high school juniors from 33 different Northern Kentucky and Cincinnati area schools. Over the past seven-months, Heidi and Emmalyn, along with their RYL classmates, have participated in sessions and activities which have advanced them as emerging leaders.
The graduation consisted of an awards ceremony for the class members and program reflections from select students. While the celebration marks the end of the program for these students, it is just the beginning of their leadership journey!
