NDA Educator Coauthors Article in National Biology Journal

Notre Dame Academy is proud to share that NDA’s Assistant Principal for Academics and biology teacher Molly Proudfit recently coauthored an article published in The American Biology Teacher, the official journal of the National Association of Biology Teachers.

The article, titled Managing Misinformation: An ABT-Based Teaching Guide, provides a framework for teaching media literacy in science classrooms. It offers practical strategies for educators to help students navigate misinformation and aligns these approaches with the Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS). This insightful work highlights the importance of evaluating information credibility, understanding scientific consensus and fostering critical thinking in today’s media landscape.
