Ski club sweatshirt designs are due today, so don’t forget to turn them in to Ms. Dooling
There is a virtual college rep visit setup with Louisiana State University for tonight at 7:00 pm. You can find the visit links in the weekly Padlet that Mrs Grayson sent out.
Yeah! Common Reader Day is tomorrow. Some reminders in preparation for the day:
Your schedule was emailed to you yesterday. You will also receive a brochure tomorrow that includes your schedule for the day.
SR and JR must arrive at their assigned spaces by 8:00am for their first session. FR and SO should arrive at their homerooms by 8:50. If arriving before 8:50, FR and SO should go to the CLC before moving to their homeroom.
Bring your iPads with you tomorrow.
Lunch will be served but pack a lunch if you want.
Plan your end of the day accordingly; SR and JR will dismiss at 1:40 while FR and SO will dismiss at 2:30.
Enjoy the day in celebration of our common reader book — The Book Woman of Troublesome Creek.
During homeroom today, you will watch a video entitled 50 Years in the Mountains, The Story of the Christian Appalachian Project. We hope that this video provides a little more insight into the culture of the people of Eastern Kentucky as a backdrop to our Common Reader Day discussions that will occur tomorrow.
On Friday, NDA will engage in Halloween festivities, and you are welcome to wear costumes. The costumes must be appropriate and provide proper coverage; in addition, no gore, face/body paint, Halloween masks or weapons are permitted. Students should contact Mrs. Grayson if they have any questions about costumes. The Friday afternoon schedule (movie locations) will be shared tomorrow afternoon. The adjusted schedule for the morning is linked to the bulletin.
