Some very talented young writers at Notre Dame Academy recently received 27 Gold Keys, 35 Silver Keys and 53 Honorable Mentions in the Scholastic Art and Writing Competition. That is a total of 115 Scholastic Art and Writing Awards and more than three times the awards won by any other high school in the region. “I am very proud of our English Department and the results our students have achieved. We are a Writing Force to reckon with regionally–no doubt about it,” said NDA English teacher and English Department Chair Linda Bricking.
NDA seniors, Sydney Stallman and Morgan Zumbiel, were also named American Voices Nominees. There were only five American Voices nominees named in our region.
“Congratulations to our students as well as our English faculty on the impressive number of awards received,” said NDA President Dr. Laura Koehl. “Their success is a testament to the exemplary education our students receive at NDA and to the dedication and proficiency of our faculty.”
