SND 4th of July Festival
Dear Friends,
The Sisters of Notre Dame are busy planning two wonderful celebrations this year. First is our 102nd 4th of July Festival. The second is our 150th anniversary of the Sisters of Notre Dame arriving in the United States. Eight sisters traveled from Germany to New York arriving on July 4, 1874, and began ministry at Mother of God school and parish in August of the same year. This began an affiliation with many schools in the diocese of Covington and the Archdiocese of Cincinnati.
This festival remains our only fundraising event, and we hope many will come out to enjoy the day with us.
Money raised helps support the SND sponsored education and healthcare ministries, vocation/young adult ministry, and our Global missions.
We invite you to participate in our 4th of July Festival. Your presence and partnership gives us the opportunity to share together in the mission of our community, which is committed to:
• Proclaiming God’s goodness and provident care
• Promoting Catholic education, especially for women, and for children in urban and mission schools
• Fostering the fullness of life, especially for people who are poor, sick, and aged
Please mark your calendar and plan to join us!
We thank you in advance for your generosity.
Gratefully,
Sr. Mary Dennise Wagenlander, SND
