Whether you are a computer wizard, budding artist, a musician, a theatre buff, an athlete, or you are just looking for something fun to do this summer, Notre Dame Academy has all sorts of opportunities for you!

Junior High Summer Art Camp
This year, the process that we will be going over will lead students to design their own standard sized skateboard deck. Students will work on creating original ideas that they will bring to life on their own skateboard deck.
Who: Any current 6th, 7th, and 8th Grader (Limit 24 students per session)
What: Students will design their own skateboard deck using a variety of techniques including using spray paint, paint markers, sharpie markers, tracing paper.
When:
Session A: Monday, July 15th – Wednesday, July 17th, 9 am – 11am
Session B: Monday, July 15th – Wednesday, July 17th, 12 pm – 2 pm
Where: The Art Studio at Notre Dame Academy
Cost: $90 per student and includes instruction, studio costs, supplies, skateboard, t-shirt

High School Summer Art Sessions
Week 1: July 8 – 12 – 3D or NOT 3D
Students will be creating works in 3D mediums including clay, plaster, found objects and mold making mediums. NOTE: Works in clay will take a week or so to dry, so students taking JUST this week of class may need to come back in a later week to collect projects.
Week 2: July 15 – 19 – TEXTILES!!!
Students will be shifting studios and take on a week of Textiles. In Textiles class students will be creating the Zipper Bag and will start with an introduction to the machine and sewing and learning decorative stitches.
Week 3: July 22 – 26 – Painting and Printmaking
Students will be experimenting with different styles of painting depending on their level and will also be experimenting with different types of printmaking that may vary between screenprinting, blockprinting and gel printing.
Week 4: July 29 – August 2 – Drawing and Mixed Media Skateboard Design
Students will be working using reference material to create drawings on the front and back of a skateboard deck. Techniques included will be prepping a surface, creating an interesting surface to work on, drawing from a grid, using regular pencils and colored pencils and basic concepts in composition.

ART
High School Character Design and World Building – July 14 – 18
Forms and payment are due by Friday May 23rd
Class runs Monday thru Friday, 9:00am – 3:00pm
Any scheduling conflicts (vacation, camps, sports camps) can easily be worked out if I am notified prior to the class.
All art materials will be provided.
Age Group – All current NDA Students.
Number of Students: 24 students maximum
Where: Notre Dame Academy Art Studio
Cost: $350 per student and includes instruction, studio costs, supplies, and custom t-shirt.
Lunch will not be provided. Students must pack a lunch.

This one-week summer camp invites young, creative minds to explore the art of character design in a supportive and fun environment. Through hands-on classes, students will create their own original characters, craft unique backstories, and build a world where these characters exist. By the end of the week, each student will have developed a full character profile, drawn multiple versions of their character, and created a final painting of their character using acrylics on canvas. This one-week art camp is designed to give 6th-8th grade students the opportunity to explore a variety of artistic mediums while nurturing their creativity and expanding their artistic skills. Each day will focus on a different medium, starting with traditional drawing and progressing through markers, chalk pastels, watercolor, and acrylics. Students will learn how to manipulate each medium to bring their imagination to life, all while experimenting with different art themes and subjects inspired by famous artists and pop culture. LEARN A BAND INSTRUMENT
All students grades 7-12 are welcome to join us this summer to learn a band instrument for FREE!
Come join us and be a part of the NDA/CCH Summer Learning Band ’25.
We have wind instruments you can use.
Rehearse: Mondays 7 – 8:15 pm at School
