Today we celebrate Toni Morrison, the First African-American woman to win the Nobel Prize in Literature. She was an award-winning novelist, essayist, book editor, and college professor. Toni Morrison’s work inspired a generation of writers to follow in her footsteps. A quote of hers is:
“Make a difference about something other than yourselves.”

PaNDAs, this is a very special week at NDA. It is National School Counselors’ Week. We have an amazing group of counselors here, so please spend the rest of this week thanking them for their dedicated service to our students and community. Let’s celebrate our counselors this week and every week.

During the month of February, we will be collecting items for Cinderella’s closet. They are in need of formal dresses (that are less than 3 years old and in good shape), formal shoes, fancy jewelry and handbags. If you have items that you would like to donate, we will have bins in the office next week.

Math Club will be hosting our February meeting on Monday, February 12 after school in Alumnae Hall. We will be doing a Valentine’s Day activity and voting will open for the Math Minutes videos. If you cannot attend, please check Google Classroom to vote. A reminder to all Mu Alpha Theta members, you must attend 50% of the meetings to maintain membership.”
