Saturday, two nationally ranked soccer teams took the field here at NDA. Your #6 ranked Pandas hosted the 24th ranked team from Carmel, Indiana.
Much to our dismay, Carmel went up early, in the 14th minute with a quality dribble and finish by their star player. But later in the first half Maya Tully served a perfect ball into the box where Megan McGraw rose up above everyone, and headed it in!!! Half ended 1-1.
The second half started fast with great back and forth soccer. With only 9 minutes before the final whistle, Kaleigh Brueggeman received a throw-in from Ava Spaulding deep in Carmel territory. Kaleigh dribbled past a couple players, took a touch inside, and curled in a left footed ball back post that put the Pandas ahead, 2-1.
And that’s how the game ended, 2-1. Another quality win for the Pandas!!!
The girls are on the road for the next 2 weeks, but return home vs HIGHLANDS on Saturday the 21 @730!!!
