In honor of National School Counselor’s week,
Today, we celebrate Mrs. Erin Maggard.
Mrs. Maggard has been at NDA for 10 years. She worked school counseling at another location for three years before joining the NDA team. She loves being at NDA because of how supportive the faculty and staff are of one another. She also loves being a part of a counseling team where they work together. Her greatest challenge in being a school counselor is dealing with the
College board – calling them, dealing with them, or trying to remember my security phrase! She balances it out by consuming media such as books or movies that have a happily ever after. Her favorite high school experience was having a turkey bowl. Yes, they actually bowled with real frozen turkeys before Thanksgiving every year. It was the best assembly all year. Her greatest fear is spiders. They have too many legs that let them move too quickly. When she needs to decompress, she enjoys yoga, walking, meditation, or just some good old fashioned deep breaths. When she needs to care for herself, she enjoys sitting on her front porch and reading a good book. Her most loved aspect of herself is her sense of humor and her ability to be empathetic to others… We thank Mrs. Maggard for making such an impact on our students and our community.
St. Agnes is still in need of volunteers this weekend for their Basketball Tournament. For more information and link to sign up – please check out the Upcoming Service Opportunities listed on the Padlet.
Buy a candy gram in the Bambootique until next Thursday.

NDA is once again going to host international students from our sister school in Germany for a portion of the 2025 fall semester and need three more host families. Four students will be experiencing the NDA Life for 9-10 weeks.
If you are interested in hosting a German exchange student next year, check the Panda Press for more information OR have your parent or guardian email Mrs. Bezold at bezolds@ndapandas.org. Your reply is not a commitment.
