In her final months at Notre Dame Academy, senior Carlee Clemons has been named April’s Student of the Month. Having just wrapped up another successful basketball season with the Pandas, Carlee recollects her numerous trips to the state competition in both soccer and basketball. Totaling 4 times throughout her high school career, Carlee’s participation in state tournaments is among her favorite memories at NDA. She is a positive force — a leader in the classroom, on the field and on the court. Carlee’s English teacher, Ms. Dickman recognizes that she “consistently challenges herself and takes her education seriously. Her presence in the classroom brings with it good humor, insight, leadership and respect for both herself and her classmates.” According to Athletic Director Kim Gunning, Carlee “represented Notre Dame well as a student athlete and was a vital part of both the soccer and basketball teams. Her outgoing personality and charisma along with her work ethic made Carlee a natural team leader.”
In addition to playing on the basketball and soccer teams for four years, Carlee is a member of the National Honor Society and LIFE Club. During the summer months, Carlee volunteers at the University of Cincinnati’s Trauma and Orthopedics Unit. Not only does she enjoy talking with the patients while she volunteers, but Carlee intends to study Biology in college.
Carlee participates in the local 4H program, which encourages young people to make a positive change in their communities. Carlee cares for animals that she shows at various 4H events and for which she has earned blue ribbons; however, the greatest achievement from her 4H involvement, Carlee says, is how responsible she has become having been a part of the organization.
Congratulations, Carlee, on being named April’s Student of the Month! We are proud to call you a Panda!
