Welcome to the 2015-16 School Year!

There are many reasons our 590 NDA Pandas were excited to arrive on campus for the first day of the 2015-16 school year, the most popular being, the opportunity to welcome their first male principal, Mr. Jack VonHandorf. Mr. VonHandorf accepted the position as principal in April and began his tenure on July 1. He arrived eager and enthusiastic to begin his new role as principal receiving a very warm welcome from the NDA community.

“I am thrilled to be part of this premier Catholic high school providing excellent academic and co-curricular programs that prepare graduates to be outstanding female leaders serving our world, ” says VonHandorf. “This is truly an opportunity of a life- time for me personally and professionally.”

While some may question the decision to hire a man as the principal of an all-girl school, NDA students have no doubts that Mr. VonHandorf is the right “person” for the job. The positive energy shown regarding this school year at this morning’s assembly proved that.

NDA President Dr. Laura Koehl remarked, “We are truly blessed to have Mr. VonHandorf on board as our new Principal! I know he has felt very welcomed by everyone today.”
