Kelsey Sucher Mariah Bezold Valedictorian Salutatorian
Notre Dame Academy is proud to announce the Class of 2016 valedictorian, Kelsey Sucher, and salutatorian, Mariah Bezold. In making the announcement, NDA Principal Jack VonHandorf commented, “These young women have excelled in their high school careers and this recognition is a sign of their ongoing commitment to academic excellence.”
Kelsey Sucher is the valedictorian for the Class of 2016. In addition to her academic success at NDA, Kelsey has been very active in various clubs and organizations. She is a 2015 Kentucky Governor’s Scholar, a member of NDA’s Science Research Program, National Honor Society (NHS), Junior Engineering Technology Society (JETS), Academic Team, Physics Club, National English Honor Society (NEHS), Drug Free Club, Rho Kappa, and French Club. She is co-president of NHS and JETS and she also volunteers at the Notre Dame Urban Education Center and NDA’s school mentor center. Kelsey is the daughter of Michael and Mindy Sucher of Fort Wright. She will be attending the University of Cincinnati this coming fall and plans to major in math and physics.
Mariah Bezold is this year’s salutatorian. Mariah is a 2015 Kentucky Governor Scholar, a member of NDA’s National Honor Society (NHS), National English Honor Society (NEHS), National Junior Classical League Latin Honors Society, Latin Club, Physics Club, Academic Team and LIFE Club. While at NDA, Mariah also participated in Big Sisters and as a member of NDA’s Bass Fishing team, Archery team, Freshman Soccer team and Orange and White Flag football team. Mariah is the daughter of John and Angela Bezold of California, Kentucky. She will be attending the University of Kentucky this coming fall and plans to major in Chemical Engineering.
