Four Notre Dame Academy students have been named National Merit Semifinalists in the 2017 National Merit Scholarship competition. NDA seniors, Abbie Guard, Paige Montfort, Claire Morgan and Brooke Schulte, are among the 16,000 Semifinalists named in the 62nd annual National Merit Scholarship Program.
These academically talented high school seniors now have the opportunity to continue in the competition for some 7,500 National Merit Scholarships worth more than $33 million that will be offered next spring. To become finalists in the National Merit Scholarship Program these young women must now submit scholarship applications that include information about their academic records, co-curricular activities, leadership abilities, honors, awards and employment.
“We are very proud of these NDA scholars and their selection as National Merit Semifinalists,” said Mr. Jack VonHandorf, Principal of Notre Dame Academy. “They are to be commended for their commitment to academic excellence and diligence in the classroom. We congratulate these young women and their families as we celebrate this honor.”
