Notre Dame Academy has earned continuing accreditation by the North Central Association Commission on Accreditation and School Improvement (NCA CASI), the Northwest Accreditation Commission (NWAC) and the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Council on Accreditation and School Improvement (SACS CASI). The accreditation action was ratified by the Accreditation Commission at its meeting on June 18, 2018.
As an accredited institution, NDA is part of the AdvancEd global network of over 34,000 schools and systems in more than 70 countries that are committed to continuous improvement through accreditation. “Accreditation demonstrates to our students, parents and community that we are focused on raising student achievement, providing a safe and enriching learning environment, and maintaining an efficient and effective operation staffed by highly qualified educators,” stated NDA Principal Mr. Jack VonHandorf.
NCA CASI, NWAC and SACS CASI accreditation are recognized across state lines, which not only eases the transfer process as students move from accredited school to accredited school but also assures parents that the school is meeting nationally accepted standards for quality and successful professional practice.
Dr. Mark Elgart, President/CEO of AdvancED, the parent organization of NCA CASI, NWAC and SACS CASI, stated, “Accreditation is a rigorous process that focuses the entire school on the primary goal of creating lifelong learners. Notre Dame Academy is to be commended for engaging in this process and demonstrating a commitment to continuous improvement.”
