Last week Spanish 2 students simulated a restaurant experience by using menus that they had written. The menus contained vocabulary from the unit as well as special dishes from the country each had selected. The currency and flag colors were represented on the menu as well. Three students went to the “restaurant” together so others could see the beautiful menus they had designed and learn about countries other than the one they researched. The students used phrases that they had learned and seen on youtube videos in class and they did a wonderful job seeming very natural! It is a skill that the majority of them will be able to use. And family members can check this out by visiting local Latino restaurants!
